Where Should I Learn Website Design?03/09/06 Client Question: What would be the best and quickest way for me to at least learn the basics of website design? Would it be to purchase one of the software packages that does it for you (frontpage, etc.)?
Answer: It depends on what your ultimate goal is... do you want to create sites from scratch or edit existing sites? I learned by first buying a couple of books on the topic, one that was along the lines of "HTML for Dummies" with lots
of tutorials and examples while the other was more technical with specific
HTML tags and techniques. The second thing I did was get my hands on a copy
of Dreamweaver... in my opinion it's the best WYSIWYG editor out there. Whatever you do, don't use MS Word or FrontPage to learn... those will
severely limit you in the long run.
