Yahoo Lists Blogs in News Search Results10/12/05 The San Jose Mercury News is reporting that Yahoo! News searches are now delivering blogs as well as web pages in their search results. Our own searches using this system have returned mixed results at best. While many searches do deliver quality blog listings, other searches display blogs that are not nearly as relevant as the actual news listings.
While the reason for showing blogs in the results is unclear, it may be an experiment to see how the public uses information from alternative sources.
